Mr Abram Suhardiman
Chief Executive Officer
Mr Abram Suhardiman is the Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and Executive Vice Chairman of Healthway Medical Group. He is responsible for setting the Group’s strategic direction and driving its business operations and growth.
Mr Suhardiman is also presently a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director on the boards of OUE Healthcare, TIH Limited, and IPP Financial Advisers Pte Ltd.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Suhardiman served as Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, where he oversaw the Group’s operations, corporate development, and investments.
Before joining Healthway, he was Vice President at Nuvest Capital. He has also worked at The Abraaj Group and Citibank, where he was part of the Southeast Asia investment team.
Mr. Suhardiman holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and a Master’s in Finance from Hult International Business School, San Francisco.
Mr Ong Hon Yuh
Chief Operating Officer
Mr Ong Hon Yuh is the Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) of Healthway Medical Group. In his role as COO, Mr Ong will oversee the Group’s corporate functions and clinical operations, focusing on strategy, planning, and operational excellence.
Mr Ong has had more than 10 years of experience in healthcare and has led corporate functions and clinical units spanning strategy, planning and operations functions. Prior to joining Heathway Medical, Mr Ong served as the Vice President at IHH Healthcare. He was most recently the Director of Operations at Parkway Laboratory Services after serving as Assistant Vice President (“AVP”) at Gleneagles Hospital while concurrently holding the post of AVP, Corporate Planning for IHH Singapore.
Before joining private healthcare, Mr Ong was with National University Health System and National University Hospital, where he served as the head of various departments in Corporate Planning, Strategic Planning Office and at the National University Cancer Institute Singapore. Prior to healthcare, Mr Ong worked at OCBC and Standard Chartered Bank after he ended active service with the Singapore Armed Forces.
Mr Ong holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from London School of Economics and a Master’s in Finance from Imperial College on a Singapore Armed Forces scholarship. He completed the Stanford Executive Programme at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2022.
Mr Edwin Basuki
Chief Commercial Officer
Mr Edwin Basuki is the Chief Commercial Officer (“CCO”) of Healthway Medical Group. In his role as CCO, Mr Basuki oversees and provide strategic leadership for the Specialist Division and Business Development, focusing on driving growth across these key business units.
Mr Basuki brings over 20 years of extensive experience across healthcare management, commercial and corporate finance, and investment banking. Prior to joining Healthway Medical, Mr Basuki was the Chief Financial Officer at Doctor Anywhere, and before that held various leadership positions at Fullerton Health, including as Director on the Board, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of M&A. Mr Basuki began his career in investment banking where he held senior roles at global banks including Goldman Sachs and Macquarie Capital.
Mr Basuki holds a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from University College London.
Mr Eric Benghozi
General Manager of Primary Care
Mr Eric Benghozi is the General Manager of Primary Care at Healthway Medical Corporation. He is responsible for overseeing the Group’s primary care services.
Mr Benghozi brings 30 years of experience in management, marketing, process optimisation, and healthcare to his role.
Prior to his appointment, he founded and led The Clinic Group, successfully expanding it into a network of 10 clinics located in key commercial and business districts before its acquisition by Healthway Medical in 2021.
Mr Benghozi began his career at Suez, France’s largest utility company, as a sales and project engineer. He later joined Degussa, where he spearheaded global marketing efforts, and subsequently moved to Georg Fischer, where he served as Global Head of Market. At Georg Fischer, he led a significant transformation, shifting the company’s focus from products to services, before overseeing the industrial market across the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr Benghozi holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from ESCOM Paris and a Master’s in Process Engineering from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris VI).
Dr John Cheng
Chief Medical Officer
Dr John Cheng Ping-Chang is the Chief Medical Officer (“CMO”) of Healthway Medical Group. He leads the Group’s clinical care strategy, ensuring high standards in patient treatment and service. Dr Cheng also supports the Primary Care Division in initiatives such as Healthier SG, which focuses on promoting preventive healthcare and enhancing service accessibility.
With over 20 years of experience in family medicine, dermatology, and sports medicine, Dr Cheng brings a wealth of expertise to his position. Before becoming CMO, he served as Head of Primary Care for over a decade, where he managed clinic operations and contributed to healthcare policy development with the Ministry of Health and Primary Care Network. His leadership focuses on excellence and continuous improvement in healthcare.
Dr Cheng holds a Master of Family Medicine, a Diploma in Dermatology, and a Master of Public Health from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
Dr Nelson Wee
Deputy Chief Medical Officer
Dr Nelson Wee is the Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Healthway Medical Group. As Deputy CMO, Dr Wee supports the development and implementation of clinical strategies and maintains the highest standards of patient care across the Group’s operations.
Dr Wee is a family physician with over 20 years of clinical experience. He is currently a member of the Ministry of Health (“MOH”) Healthier SG IT workgroup, the MOH Expert Committee on Immunization and the Smoking Cessation ACE Clinical Guidance Expert Group. He had also previously served on various MOH workgroups such as the National Infection Prevention and Control Guidelines for Primary Care and the Community Dietetics and Nutrition workgroups.
Dr Wee is also actively involved in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He is currently the Honorary Secretary for the College of Family Physicians Singapore (CFPS) and the Programme Director for the CFPS Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) Programme. He is also an appointed clinical tutor for the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Nanyang Technological University Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
Dr Wee holds a Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) from the National University of Singapore (NUS).
